Package: libhttpfetcher1
Version: 1.0.1-1.1
Severity: important

The following code from http_prefetcher.c is used to select the host portion of
the URL. This ignores the usual fields e.g.
    scheme://[user:pass@]host[:port][/path]

The library is of little use if it cannot parse standard urls

------------------------------------------------------

      /* Seek to the file path portion of the url */
        charIndex = strstr(url, "://");
        if(charIndex != NULL)
                {
                /* url contains a protocol field */
                charIndex += strlen("://");
                host = charIndex;
                charIndex = strchr(charIndex, '/');
                }
        else
                {
                host = (char *)url;
                charIndex = strchr(url, '/');
                }
