Package: euro-support
Version: 1.2

Background :
- country set to "France", language set to "default", charset set to
"iso8859-15" in the "Country and language" control center dialog ;
- I have the env variables defined :
export LC_ALL="fr_FR@euro"
export LANG="fr_FR.ISO-8859-15"
export LANGUAGE="fr_FR@euro"
export LC_TYPE="fr_FR@euro"
- I tried to follow the hints given in
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-euro-support/ to get the euro symbol
under KDE.

Facts :
1- non-KDE apps (XChat, xterm, ...) work just fine : I can see as well as
enter the euro symbol, by typing AltGr+e
2- I can see the euro sign in Konqueror, Kmail, ... if it appears, for
example if it's in a web page or if I copy-paste it ;
3- If I type AltGr+e, xev launched from Konsole gives :
KeyPress event, serial 22, synthetic NO, window 0x2e00001,
    root 0x2f, subw 0x0, time 321916327, (-544,458), root:(554,478),
    state 0x10, keycode 113 (keysym 0xff7e, Mode_switch), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 characters:  ""

KeyPress event, serial 27, synthetic NO, window 0x2e00001,
    root 0x2f, subw 0x0, time 321917267, (-544,458), root:(554,478),
    state 0x2010, keycode 26 (keysym 0x20ac, EuroSign), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 1 characters:  "¤"

KeyRelease event, serial 27, synthetic NO, window 0x2e00001,
    root 0x2f, subw 0x0, time 321917311, (-544,458), root:(554,478),
    state 0x2010, keycode 26 (keysym 0x20ac, EuroSign), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 1 characters:  "¤"

KeyRelease event, serial 27, synthetic NO, window 0x2e00001,
    root 0x2f, subw 0x0, time 321918124, (-544,458), root:(554,478),
    state 0x2010, keycode 113 (keysym 0xff7e, Mode_switch), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 characters:  ""

(it even prints correctly the euro symbol, I can even see it here while
writing this after the copy-past).

The problem :
When I type AltGr+e under any KDE app, I only get either a '?' or the circle
with four branches.

Kernel version :
Linux kafka.home.kfk 2.4.13-kfk1 #3 Mon Dec 10 11:17:54 CET 2001 i686 unknown

Libc version :
/lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.2.4.so

French keyboard

Sorry if this has already been reported, or if I had miss something.

Thanks anyway for your great work !

Best regards,
