Build depending on flex-old may make this problem disappear. flex-old was
depreciated at the time of it's inclusion. Plans should be made to
transition to flex, but if there's a rush flex-old can be used to ease the
transition. Bug #193229 is for documentation about migrating from flex-old
to flex.
