Subject: linuxconf: Wrong permissons on /etc/linuxconf/archive/* ?
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.2.9

Package: linuxconf
Version: 1.17r1-1
Severity: grave

Linuxconf seems to create archive of shadow file with permissions a+r. Althought /etc/linuxconf/archive directory has permissions go-rwx, this may be dengerous if an administrator change permisson to the 'archive' direcory.

This package has been removed from Debian unstable because it has been
orphaned for a very long time and nobody adopted it. See

for more information.
