Bug#136982: kde: Problems entering national characters - solved

Hello!
I spent whole day trying to solve my problem. And eventually I found that my
/etc/environment had only one line:
LANG=pl_PL
I reconfigured locales:
dpkg-reconfigure locales
and that file changed to
LC_ALL=pl_PL
LANG=pl_PL
After that I could enter my national characters again. Hurra! :)
(I did not modify that file by hand before).
I even don't try to change that file to see what happens.
My point is - when you have locales on your system not configured properly,
your kde may behave improperly when operating on national settings.
Thank you for your assistance.
