Exosphere is a python3 application that offers aggregated patch and security update reporting as well as basic system status across multiple Unix-like hosts over ssh. It uses a friendly table-based TUI to display available updates and relevant metadata, and has its own interactive
shell.

It supports multiple distributions and package managers, and is
extensible so administrators can add support for more as needed.

It also has optional web support enabled by textual-serve; since
this module is not yet in debian I'm filing a RFP for it, and will
enable the feature once textual-serve is packaged by the python
team.

I am in close contact with the upstream developer and will maintain
this package following the debian python team's recommendations.

Hi Jesse,

I took up your RFP for textual-serve and ran into a bit of a problem that needs to be fixed upstream. Upstream isn't looking very active so I think it may take a while for the issues to be worked out and package it. I did open an issue with the upstream discussing this issue, I hope they respond it to it soon [1].
