distance was a dependency of textdistance, but with the migration of
4.6.3-4 of that package to testing, there is no dependency on distance
any longer in unstable or testing.
distance is ancient, it's C-extension no longer compiles with recent
Python versions, and its functionality is available in other
(maintained) packages.
