I am packaging a software named "p" by the upstream [1]. It is a command line utility to send messages using pump.io.
I am using the name "ppump" to the package. The Python module / egg occupies the namespace "p",
if it's "p" in Python "public" modules directory (/usr/lib/python3*), you should use "python3-p" name for package. If it's just application in private folder, you can use whatever want. Just my two cents.
