Thanks to your report, however, I started looking into the
state of affairs which is why I mentioned and included
that bug in my initial post so people (looking at the bug)
can see where things are going.

I have filed against wxwidgets3.0 and python-wxgtk2.8 asking
for python3-wxgtkXX and/or python-wxgtk3.0. Let's see what
happens.

Which we have now also demoted to Suggests:.

Sure, but it does not seem imprudent to assume that wxPython
packaging related people just might be reading this list :-)

Or else someone who simply knows what the current position is
(which is what I asked about -- I did NOT ask this list for
providing a package).

Thanks. "it" would be - wxpython (as in python3-wxgtkXX ?)

I cannot currently (on Debian) build a python3 variant of our
application because I cannot test it with wxgtk (2.8 or 3.0,
on Debian).

I am not so much concerned about the python(3)-uno side of
things. If that (convenient, thanks) Debian hack goes away we
can work around that.
