Status of python2.6 removal
Hi!
This is a quick status update about the efforts to get rid of
python2.6 from the archive.
A good number of reverse dependencies have been processed, and don't
have python2.6 dependencies anymore. At the moment, the following
packages are still to be transitioned:
* crystalspace
- Barry deFreese is currently working on it
- A "flag to unstable" commit in SVN seems a signal an upload is coming!
* mod-wsgi
- Piotr recently uploaded a new package to experimental
- Needs python3.3 as default python3 version?
* python-pip
- Dmitrijs and Dmitry committed some patches in DPMT SVN repository
- Other things to consider before the upload can happen?
* pyside
- It requires python-numpy to be uploaded to unstable
* shiboken
- It requires python-numpy to be uploaded to unstable
Other than the ones above, there are still some packages which have
been transitioned, but they're not built everywhere:
* libavg
- Needs armhf build
* mlpy
- Needs armel and sparc builds
* shogun
- Needs to be built on several architectures where clang-3.2 is not built yet
- Clang FTBFS almost everywhere, but fix is trivial (except on ia64)
* syfi
- Needs armel, ia64, mips, s390, and sparc builds
- Needs a fixed cmake (#709181)
Cheers,
Luca
