pycentral does not bytecompile for new supported versions?
Hi. (Please CC me on replies.)
I have a doubt with respect how pycentral behaves when new supported
versions are added to /usr/share/python/debian_defaults.
Recently 2.5 was added to supported-versions, and I was expecting that
somehow packages using pycentral with appropriate Python-Version headers
would make themselves available under /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages,
but this does not happen.
However, if I reinstall any of those packages, they do appear there.
This seems like inconsistent to me. Is this the intended behavior?
FTR, from my observations, python-support makes modules available for
all installed python versions independently if they are in supported-versions
or not.
Any insight appreciated.
