1) There is still this bug when starting zope:

usr/sbin/zope-z2: line 216: syntax error near unexpected token 
`sys.path.insert(0,'
/usr/sbin/zope-z2: line 216: `    sys.path.insert(0, '%s/lib/python' % 
swhome)'



2) I would add a version.txt file to lib/python/ dir with e.g. something 
like this:

Zope 2.5.1 (woody3+cvs20030612, source release, python2.1, linux2)

so users don't get a "unreleased version" information in control panel. 
This might be helpfull for debugging.
