python-ecasound packaging question.
please CC: me because I am off-list.
Hello,
I am packaging ecasound ( a sound processor application)
which has python bindings. I decided to call it python-ecasound.
I found out that without thinking much it tries to install files to :
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2000-12-22 02:43:40 ./usr/lib/python1.5/lib-dynload/
-rw-r--r-- root/root 15160 2000-12-22 02:43:40 ./usr/lib/python1.5/lib-dynload/libpyecasound.so
-rw-r--r-- root/root 255 2000-12-22 02:43:24 ./usr/lib/python1.5/lib-dynload/pyeca.py
when compiled under unstable, and
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2000-12-21 17:49:43 ./usr/lib/python1.5/site-packages/
-rw-r--r-- root/root 15168 2000-12-21 17:49:43 ./usr/lib/python1.5/site-packages/libpyecasound.so
-rw-r--r-- root/root 255 2000-12-21 17:49:32 ./usr/lib/python1.5/site-packages/pyeca.py
when compiled under testing.
What I want to know is, what is the right place to put them in, and
is "libpyecasound.so" a "plugin" in lintian terms?
regards,
junichi
