Hello together,
first of all thank you very much for tackling this topic. I really
appreciate that!

Please allow me to use this as an example to throw my 2 cents in.
This comment is a good example of a general issue with the Debian
project with great
potential for improvement. Thinking about people is good. But try to be
more emphatic
and open minded please.
When it comes to Debian tools and the workflow, it is not only about
people without
experience and with low skills. Please be aware that there are also
people who simple
don't want to follow that workflow and using that tools for that tasks.
The bug report
system is a good example of this. The translation system is another one.
But they
currently start to use Weblate to ease the access for potential
contributors.
But also your news system is a good example. I am a developer but I
simply don't
want to use git, just to add news items. Give me an email address, a web
form or
a ticket system (e.g. salsa).
The access or entry to Debian tools and its workflow is often to "hard".
Regards,
Christian
