I hope you are not talking about UEFI/BIOS/Firmware stuff - there is
just no usable "free" hardware on the market.

Sorry, but that is FSF bullshit. There are enough free licenses out
there and if somebody does not want to be GPL compatible and does not
need to be, we should not force them.
