And what're you going to do if some MS geek comes up notifying you about
some patent infringement in the the Linux kernel code? I'm talking about
disaster management here.
We don't have to carry on such a conversation, or take what they say on
face value.

Reality is no one wants to target a non-profit organization, doing so is suicide for the company, even MS doesn't have the guts to do so; everyone owes non-profit organizations so no one wants to make them unhappy by directly targeting them.
