I though about having a specialised blog too, before suggesting the wiki
page. The advantage of the wiki page is that the documents can be
collectively pre-screened and evolved.
Another random idea: the blog post could be used as the original copy of the
document and instead of adding it to the wiki, they could be integrated into
flossmanuals(.net.)

I think that having such a central point which has further restrictions
("hassle") is only going to prevent people from joining the effort.
Mentioning such blog posts on DWN would be great, of course.
