Maybe he's referring to the Linux Kernel?  Not sure if there was a 2.4.3 kernel version though...

Did you mean: sarge (3.1), woody( 3.0), hamm, bo, slink(2.0) ....
or the upcomming Etch (4.0)?
Never heard of that version.
