aptitude has some support for multiple sections, but no support for
debtags as far as I know.  Last time I heard, Daniel had a bad
experience with libdebtags and postponed.

Now libapt-front is being worked on as a common base for package
managers: in some months it's probably going to become a solid and
well-documented place to start for implementing {any possible package
metadata} support into package managers.
