It sounds like you do not know much about Linux. I suggest that you
start with a easy-to-use Linux CD like Knoppix and make yourself
familiar with what Linux (and Debian, as a Linux distribution) is all
For most things, driver support is not that bad. But if you want to run
Windows applications (like Games, for instance), I recommend you buy
Windows. You don't win races against formula-1 cars with a truck,
albeit a truck is technically able to run on a fomula-1 track... Also,
if you have the newest and best graphics card, you may have to do a
little digging to get it to work.
