Hello,

Knoppix is a debian-based system, but like morphix 
(http://www.morphix.org), it is a run-off-the cd system, and therefore 
differs from the normal debian install in many ways.

For this reason, you should probably check out their documentation at

http://www.knoppix.net/docs/

Please direct further questions to them, as they will be  more able to 
answer questions about their distribution than the debian-project mailng 
list
