Sure.  If we work hard enough and have a PR budget like the MPAA or
RIAA, we could use "murder" as a metaphor for what these groups are
doing to our First Amendment rights with their Digital Rights Management
crap.  With wide enough adoption, eventually even the OED would
countenance the usage.

That doesn't mean it would responsible to do so.
