Package: cups-daemon Version: 2.4.15-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, Thanks for maintaining cups. I think it's important. The main reasons I'm writing are to report 1.) upgrading cups-daemon from version 2.4.14-1 to 2.4.15-1 broke my printer. The command user$ lpr file.pdf failed with lpr: Error - /etc/cups/lpoptions file names default destination that does not exist. Doing root$ cupsd -t gave Unknown directive BrowseAddress on line 8 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf. "/etc/cups/cupsd.conf" contains errors. The 8th line of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf was BrowseAddress @LOCAL The man page for cupsd.conf didn't list BrowseAddress as a valid directive. 2.) I commented out "BrowseAddress @LOCAL" and did root:~ systemctl restart cups Now I can print again. I don't recall being asked while upgrading cups-daemon if I wanted to keep or replace my current /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file. I wonder if something like an install script has a bug.
