Package: gs-gpl Version: 8.50-1.1 Severity: normal Hi, GS contains a mapping (under the file `Fontmap.GS') that allows it to properly map Adobe font names (e.g., `Times-Roman') to their free equivalent font by URW++ (e.g., `NimbusRomNo9L-Regu' --- these fonts are available in the `gsfonts' package). However, when converting a PS file that refers to the Adobe font names (in DSC comments) to PDF with the `prepress' setting (using `ps2pdf -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress'; this setting tells GS to embed all fonts in the resulting PDF file, among other things), GS does _not_ embed the URW++ fonts in the resulting file, although the fontmap file is accessible.
