Package: cups-driver-gutenprint
Version: 5.2.3-2
Severity: important
Version 5.2.3-2 of Gutenprint does not print at all. Can start printing
testpage with cups, but it is then stuck in the queue. Installation is
only possible because I patched the printers.xml file in package
libgutenprint2 ( printer is called Epson Stylus Offix instead of Epson
Stylus Office)
Makes the printer useless for debian. ( tried on Ubuntu as well, does
not work avasys drivers do not work either)
Gutenprint version 5.0.2-4 does not support the printer.
Cheers

Hi,
the reason for this bug report looks like a bad interaction between an
incomplete installation and manually copying ppd files with a wrong name.
I think Roger gave lots of hints to resolve this and I am manually closing
this bug now.
Please reopen this bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control for
details, if you think more should have been done.
Best regards,
Thorsten
