Package: cups
Version: 1.7.5-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

the symptoms are exactly the same as in the bug description of STR #3964
(upstream: http://www.cups.org/str.php?L3964 )
If I try to print twice the same simple file (for example a single page ps
file), the first job prints perfectly. For the 2nd one, however, the first page
contains a text starting with:
PJL ENTER LANGUAGE = PCLXL ...
and the printer prints garbage on the subsequent pages.

The solution, for the moment, is to unplug the usb cable, flush the printer
memory, re-plug and submit my job again.
As stated in the bug report for #3964, a fix was apparently provided when
resolving STR #3965 in 2012.

It looks like it is not resolved in my case.
the printer I use is an OKI B4300

Thanks for your help,

Dimitri

Seven years later and we have not moved on with this, whether it is
printer-specific or not. A new report could possibely help to resolve
things. As it stands we are not getting anywhere. Closing.

Cheers,

Brian.
