Hmmm - there are many details not working in Debian 10.
Maybe because this version has been upgraded.

The interesting thing is that there is no authenticating request.
There is directly this error message.

No - this should be the standard configuration.

Some time ago the "Generic CUPS-PDF Printer" could be installed.
