Bug#946561: hplip: Not installable with python3 >= 3.

It goes like this:

# apt-get install hplip
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 hplip : Depends: python3 (< 3.8) but 3.8.2-1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

And it seems to be unsurmountable. One the 3.8 is installed, bye bye Hplip

Tried setting python3.7 the default. I now have:

$ python3
Python 3.7.6 (default, Jan 19 2020, 22:34:52)
[GCC 9.2.1 20200117] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>>

But nothing changes. And the removal of 3.8 would of course be a nightmare.

What other info might you need?

Regards!
