Hello Brian,
the .ppd is not functional up to now. There are some lines with reference to
files in the /opt-directory, e.g.
*cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-raster 100 /opt/OpenPrinting-
Gutenprint/cups/lib/filter/rastertogutenprint.5.2"
I changed these paths/filenames to the files existing in my debian 8 version,
but i get error messages, when i try to print a testpage. Message:
Es Drucker-Filter für den Drucker >>Canon-S4500-Neu<< fehlt.
(printer filter for the new printer with your .ppd is missing)
I also saw, that there are some ICC profiles, which are not existent in my
functional deb8 .ppds. I don't know, if this is a part of the problem.
I want to try to copy only the new lines for A3 printing in to a functional
deb8 .ppd but in the moment my spare time ist very rare.
I think that i will find the time within the next week. You will get feedback,
when i know more.
