Bug#870463: lp no longer honours default printers

I can't reproduce this; it works fine here for me. Let's see from some things 
fixed upstream:
* https://github.com/apple/cups/issues/5072 - Do you happen to use a 
ServerAlias ?
* https://github.com/apple/cups/commit/
c536b6c583abd9ea1b750f15e887b313ed7ad951 maybe ?

Can you rebuild cups with these patches or would you like me to build a 
patched version for you? (I'd probably upload an upstream snapshot to 
experimental then)
