The last change in the stable version of cups was nearly a year ago and
in cups-filters was four months ago. I suppose other updates could be a
factor in this behaviour.

Reinstalling the print queue and its functioning incorrectly is a
little perplexing. We'll look at this later.

Please provide an error log for a failed job; the wiki will help you
with this. The printer make and model, the PPD being used and the output
of 'lpstat -t' on that machine would also be useful.
