Re: hp-setup doesn't load plugin

It writes the same error about cheksum.

hplipopensource.com suggest that Debian 8.6 uses 3.16.10. But latest backported is 3.16.9.

Generally it downloaded the plugin on previous installation very well and there was no problems at all.

Best wishes,
John

Hello,

Is there solution?

There is. But first say what model of printer you are using and what
happens when you try the command 'hp-plugin -i'.

This is a résumé of John's problem:

I have this:

error: /root/.hplip/hplip-3.16.9-plugin.run file does not match its
checksum. File may have been corrupted or altered
error:  The device you are trying to setup requires a binary plug-in. Some
functionalities may not work as expected without plug-ins.  Please run
'hp-plugin' as normal user to install plug-ins.   Visit
http://hplipopensource.com  for more infomation.
