Dear Maintainer,

Answering the questions:
Q: What led up to the situation?
A: The HP Color LaserJet 2550L which had previously been working no longer prints

Q: What did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?
A: Up until now I have:
    - Checked the status on the http://10.10.10.1:631/printers/hpulf page (see below)
    - Checked the /var/log/cups/ files (see the error_log file below)
    - Googled for the error messages found in the /var/log/cups/error_log file
    - I restarted the cups process with "/etc/init.d/cups restart#
    - I killed the

Q: What was the outcome of this action?
A: I found some issues with the same error messages back in a bug resoled on testing in 2013:
       https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=638933
Bug #638933 was resolved by installing ghostscript-cups (which I already have)

After the restart the job first in the queue had the time of the reboot 12:45.

Cancelling the first job in the queue just left number two
hanging with the "waiting for printer to become available."
      message.

The printer is connected to the CUPS server with USB.

Q: What outcome did you expext instead?
A: I had hoped both for the restart of cups, and cancelling of the
job first in the queue to make the printer start working

Hello Steiner,

Thank you for your detailed report; sorry not to have dealt with it 'til
now.

Wheezy CUPS is no longer supported so the report is being closed. However,
just a few minutes ago I tested the filtering chain for your printer with
the PPD you used and all filters exited successfully. I cannot, of course,
test the USB connection. Hopefully, you are now happily printing.

If the same problem arises on testing/unstable please open a new report.

Regards,

Brian.
