Bug#812088: ghostscript: Recommend gsfonts rather than Depend on them
Package: ghostscript
Version: 9.16~dfsg-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
since ghostscript can be used in various ways that do not require an installed
font (e.g. ps2ascii), the 'gsfonts' package is not a strict dependency.
the policy §7.2 says:
> Recommends:
>
> This declares a strong, but not absolute, dependency.
> The Recommends field should list packages that would be found together with
> this one in all but unusual installations.
as such i would recommend to demote the dependency to 'Recommends', to cater for
the "unusual installation" case (e.g. limited ressources on a system that uses
ghostscript for analyzing ps-files rather than to generate them)
