A different printer here but more or less the same outcome. It appears
necessary with both Evince and lp to have some sort of "fit-to-page".
Why not having it breaks duplex I do not know. Anyway, it is solution
which makes lp/lpr behave,
One way I got my printer to work with a foomatic driver was to set up a
queue with "-o pdftops-renderer-default=pdftops". That option isn't open
to you but how does
lp -d <queue> -o pdftops-renderer=pdftops babel-bib.pdf
turn out?
I think I'm running out of ideas (and paper) to pursue this with.
Reassigning because cups-client doesn't seem the right place for this
bug to be.
