Again, cupsd is no longer running. Since /var/run/cups/cups.sock is
still there (i.e. no clean-up, and no reason to quit), I suspect that
it is a crash. At least an abnormal termination.

srwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 2014-11-08 07:39:19 /var/run/cups/cups.sock
ypig:~# pgrep -af cupsd
ypig:~# invoke-rc.d cups force-reload
[FAIL] Reloading Common Unix Printing System: cupsd failed!
Given that cupsd is no longer running (pgrep returns nothing),
the force-reload failure is expected.
