| Package: cups-filters Version: 1.0.43-1+b1 After installation of cups 1.7.1-2, HP LaserJet P1505 stopped working. I found this Ubuntu bug: that described what I saw in the error_log. I downloaded foomatic-filters: apt-get download foomatic-filters Get:1 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ jessie/main foomatic-filters armel 4.0.17-1 [159 kB] I extracted foomatic-rip and replaced the foomatic-rip from cups-filter. Now the HP printer works. Looks like the bug fix in foomatic-filters did not get into cups-filters.
