For some reason ps2ps creates copyrighted output. Steps:
$ convert -depth 16 -size 74x79 -colorspace gray xc:white /tmp/test.ps
$ identify /tmp/test.ps
/tmp/test.ps PS 74x79 74x79+0+0 16-bit DirectClass 328b 0.000u 0:00.000
$ ps2ps /tmp/test.ps /tmp/out.ps
$ grep Copyright /tmp/test.ps /tmp/out.ps
/tmp/out.ps:% Copyright (C) 2010 Artifex Software, Inc. All rights reserved.
Man page does not mention how to avoid this.
