Herewith the command that shall work.
I know it is more work for you. You could really update it, or create a fork.
I cannot help currently on cups, got too much work.
Sane CAN so SHALL CUPS too !! 2013 is our year. Network exists widely.
So, herewith what it shall work more with command:
hp-makeuri 192.168.1.8
