Hello. That was a long time ago. I probably ought to have closed or done
something with that bug.

I did trace the "unknown" message to missing cases in a switch
statement, and submitted a patch. Unstream applied a modified patch.

Later versions of cups did not report that error, but I am not sure why
or even when it went away. Sorry, busy here and no time to investigate
:-(

I am currently running testing which has cups-common version 1.6.3-1.
However, the last time I tried to print, a new problem has come up. That
is corruption after the first page. I have submitted a bug report for
that.

So AFAIK, the general bug has gone away, but a new specific bug,
presumbly a problem with the ppp config has appeared for my particular
HL1200 Brother laser. Must find time to check and look into it further.
