Package: cupsys
Version: 1.1.23-10
Severity: normal
Most GUI applications on MacOS X clients cannot print to a Debian CUPS
print server (detected by the browse protocol) in landscape orientation.
The output is always in portrait orientation.
This problem is a regresson of CUPS STR #207
<http://www.cups.org/str.php?L207>, originally fixed in 1.1.20rc1.
This appears to have been introduced in 1.1.22-6, where the
CUPS-supplied pdftops was replaced with a script which uses the pdftops
from xpdf-utils. Replacing the script with a pdftops built from the CUPS
sources fixes the problem.
It's not quite clear to me whether I should file this bug against
cupsys or against xpdf-utils. I suppose it could be solved in either
place.
