Hello Frank,

The error log you sent in an earlier mail was very useful. It shows a
successful processing of a test page:

   D [19/Nov/2012:10:07:16 +1100] PID 3107 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip) exited with no errors.

but an unsuccessful outcome to printing a PDF:

  D [19/Nov/2012:10:07:49 +1100] [Job 76] GPL Ghostscript 8.71: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
  D [19/Nov/2012:10:07:49 +1100] [Job 76] renderer exited with status 1
D [19/Nov/2012:10:07:49 +1100] [Job 76] Possible error on renderer command line or PostScript error.

It also has

   D [19/Nov/2012:10:07:03 +1100] [Job 75] envp[11]="SOFTWARE=CUPS/1.4.4"

but you now have an up-to-date Wheezy, so we are in step with one another.

I set up a print queue using the hpijs driver and the PPD file for an
HP Photosmart 3300 and printed to it with the PDF you provided. I've
attached the error log so you can compare it with yours. The crucial
line is

   D [10/Aug/2013:14:38:35 +0100] [Job 218] renderer exited with status 0

Now we are out of step. :)

Regards,

Brian.
