Oh, I was not aware that there is still persons around not using zsh.
:-)
alias -g G='| grep'

I saw it. But it doesn't seems to stop the daemon propeprly.

~> md5sum /etc/logrotate.d/cups-daemon /etc/init.d/cups
3e1344f49a9c579af422f903c69a2776 /etc/logrotate.d/cups-daemon
d379ac04035381af726151dd7a578350 /etc/init.d/cups
So, no, this is the original from the package.

And:
~> mount G /tmp
tmpfs on /tmp type tmpfs (rw,nosuid, nodev, relatime)
So, it is also not running into the old bug of logrotate when /tmp is
mounted with noexec. But maybe there was a change in logrotate recently,
I don't know. -- Checked, yes, there was.

ii logrotate 3.8.3-5 amd64 Log rotation utility
And they seems to change the pre- and post- stuff in version 3.8.3-4.
Maybe that was a wrong change.
