I wasn't suggesting you use system-config-printer-udev, but if you did
have it on the system it would automatically set up a print queue.
Which would mean CUPS would have no new printers to find.

Anyway, I get the same as you do, so it is not your printer at fault.
When CUPS says "No printers found" I reckon it does not mean "printers
have been looked for but haven't been found". It is more like "You
haven't authenticated, so I'm not bothering even to look".

First select "Add Printer" and either authenticate or go back and try
"Find New Printers".
