As you have seen on bug #683730 , I have prepared a cups upload targetted at Wheezy and pushed the changes to a debian-wheezy bzr branch there: http://anonscm.debian.org/loggerhead/pkg-cups/cups/debian-wheezy/changes > 3. A small comment on that one, I implemented it differently (and I think, in a more robust way, by relying on dh_installdeb' .maintscript file), see: http://anonscm.debian.org/loggerhead/pkg-cups/cups/debian-wheezy/revision/1168 In particular, note that the version in "…-2~" as recommended by dpkg- maintscript-helper. It would be good to have that in future CUPS versions to avoid an unnecessary diff. > Printer driver packages should always use the CUPS trigger and never > their own PPD file updaters in their maintainer scripts, please check. For that, I have convinced the ghostscript maintainers to do the last needed change from postinst to triggers (see #520753). > Bug #682426 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=682426) is > not a CUPS bug. It needs to get reassigned to Ghostscript. Done, many thanks for your input! Cheers, OdyX
