Package: libsane-hpaio Version: 3.10.6-1 Hi! On my box, a HP PSC 1110 scanner isn't recognized: Oct 13 21:00:49 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/model.c 108: unable to open /etc/hp/hplip.conf: No such file or directory Oct 13 21:00:49 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/model.c 536: no psc_1100_series attributes found in /data/models/models.dat Oct 13 21:00:49 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/model.c 547: no psc_1100_series attributes found in /data/models/unreleased/unreleased.dat Oct 13 21:00:49 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/musb.c 2059: ignoring hp:/usb/psc_1100_series?serial=MY42LG70SJB0 support=0 Oct 13 21:00:49 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/pp.c 627: unable to read device-id ret=-1 Oct 13 21:01:08 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/model.c 108: unable to open /etc/hp/hplip.conf: No such file or directory Oct 13 21:01:08 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/model.c 536: no psc_1100_series attributes found in /data/models/models.dat Oct 13 21:01:08 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/model.c 547: no psc_1100_series attributes found in /data/models/unreleased/unreleased.dat Oct 13 21:01:08 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/musb.c 2059: ignoring hp:/usb/psc_1100_series?serial=MY42LG70SJB0 support=0 Oct 13 21:01:08 jbarbeitsplatz scanimage: io/hpmud/pp.c 627: unable to read device-id ret=-1 The file /etc/hp/hplip.conf does not ship within the package. /data/models/models.dat can be found in the package, but in a different (and saner!) location. Though it's not found by the driver. Linking that file to the location mentioned in the error message lets sane find the device; it's useable afterwards. (Though device permissions aren't set properly, but that not this package's problem.) Thanks a lot for packaging it! Jan-Benedict, This was resolved with the upload of 3.10.6-2. If after you upgrade you are still having this issue, please reopen and submit further details with the reportbug(1) tool.
