Attempting to print CUPS test page from the web gui fails with the error:
"/usr/lib/cups/filter/gstoraster failed"
Examination of /var/log/cups/error_log yields [newlines added for clarity]:

/usr/share/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/paper_list.csv :
No such file or directory
I was able to get it working by downloading the source tarball
(epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.1.1-1lsb3.2.tar.gz) from Epson's web site,
creating a /usr/share/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/ subdirectory, and
copying paper_list.csv into it from the src/ subdirectory of the tarball.
