I get the following cups error trying to print pdf documents in ghostview and kghostview:

I [02/Oct/2004:16:02:27 +0100] Started backend /usr/lib/cups/backend/parallel (PID 894) for job 31.

E [02/Oct/2004:16:02:30 +0100] [Job 31] Invalid printer settings!

I believe that this is the same ghostscript bug reported at Redhat to do with null page sizes:

As gs-esp has priority on my system, this bug may also apply to the Debian package gs-gpl.
