Package: hplip
Version: 3.9.8-1
Justification: breaks the whole system
Severity: critical

Today I installed hplip hplip-data hplip-gui hp-ppd and my HP Deskjet
F4280 was automaticaly reconized and configured.

Problem: As soon as I connect USB cable to te USB port whole system
freezes, not just X but whole system and the only way
to "resolve" this problem is by hard restarting it.

Workaround would be to connect the USB cable while notebook is off and
then power it on, system won't freeze and printing
will work just fine.

Hey Mark,

I did send it using reportbug, either way, after I removed hplip and got the latest updates and then reinstalled hplip it all seems to be working fine again :)

Sorry for the trouble, glad to see it's all working again.
