Bug#551768: cups: "socket failed" error / problem parsing terminal colons in URI?

Several configured printers no longer worked with cups after an upgrade (to testing and ustable). It
appears that the "DeviceURI socket" entry in /etc/cups.printers.conf of some printers (configured a while
ago) have a terminal colon that is no longer parsed correctly, causing a "socket failed" error.
Reconfiguring the printer (making sure to renew the connection description) or removing the colon by hand
both reestablish printing.
